Managing the Stress of ADPKD

“PKD has definitely brought stress into my life… being optimistic and positive has helped me overcome some of that anxiety.”

PKD has definitely brought stress into my life.  Anxiety was something that I didn’t deal with before that over the last few years has given me problems through just getting through every day and every week.

The daily anxiety can grow old for someone who’s caring for someone on a daily basis. What I would say to someone who’s caring for someone with PKD is to be patient with that person. The best way to be supportive of someone with PKD is love, positivity, and optimism.

Being optimistic and positive has helped me overcome some of that anxiety. Just maintaining a positive outlook every day has helped me get through this.
